'Worms Make The World'
Last month we delivered a session for 60 little future worm farmers at St Gregory's and St Patrick's Infant School in the glorious Lake District, thanks to the support of West Cumbria River Trust. Infants are little sponges, and not only do they keep us as eternal students by asking the most left-field of questions (like the Halloween-themed ‘how much blood can they eat?’), they gift us with moments of pure wisdom and insight. One little girl told us 'worms are important because they make the world!' We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

Change, Grow, Live

Dre & Ben, new worm managers at CGL, taking their work very seriously indeed

Another worm farm in Nottingham City! As The Urban Worm CIC’s birthplace it is always a delight to see organisations supporting the New Worm Order. We were recruited onsite to help convert an old wheelie bin for Change, Grow, Live - a voluntary sector organisation specialising in substance misuse and criminal justice intervention projects, and supporting people in recovery. The Wheelie Bin Worm Farm will have pride of place in the new sensory garden. Never underestimate the healing power of the soil, worms, and community.

🎃 Trick Or Treat
How was last night? Did you trick, or did you treat? Were you tricked, or were you treated? A couple more wet and windy days and those scary-looking pumpkins will look more like tired old vegetables ready for the worm bin. Pumpkins are a delicious treat for the wrigglers, but don’t forget to chop up your halloween creations into tiny pieces so the worms can enjoy the festivities too. Remember, they only have very tiny mouths.

The Short Version
That’s all for this month, folks — we’ve had to pull a major article at the last minute following legal advice, so we’ll bring you that news a little later on.
In the meantime, just a quick reminder: you can only buy Magic Manure by The Urban Worm, and our other products, directly from us — either via our online shop, our Etsy store, or in person at local markets around the East Midlands where you’ve met us before (although we're off now, until the spring).
Our products are not currently available in shops or garden centres, and if you see similar items elsewhere, they’re not ours.
Accept no imitations — buy directly from us at The Urban Worm, the original and best!

Next month we'll be back with a full newsletter packed with the usual worm goodness; in the meantime, stay well, wrap up warm - and especially: a big thanks for your continued support, which is more important to us today than ever.
